And what better advertisement could a car manufacturer have than an emperor who owned an entire fleet of Mercedes automobiles? It was on his initiative that the Stuttgart company had the
Mercedes-Haus built in 1912—13 by the architects Alfred Klingenberg and Fritz Beyer to house its offices in the imperial capital.
